Pin ornament, facing ibexes, 1000-800 BC
This pin finial from Bubastis, Dynasty 22, features goddess Bastet resting atop a double ring. This tiny, delicate portrait of a cat, with her tail curved all around the top of the double ring, was probably the finial of a pin for a royal princess of Bubastis, city of the goddess Bastet.
